"This is a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity. I wanna say thank you to all of the people who came early to watch our set." Matt Brandy told the crowd in attendance. Just like most bands, they've had their challenges. It's not an easy path. I first was introduced to this band in 2021 when I caught their set during the stop at Omaha's Waiting Room Lounge as a part of P.O.Ds's Satellite 20th Anniversary Tour. I enjoyed them then but I can say now after seeing them perform in an arena that I dig me even more. From Ashes To News set last night included: Nightmare, Heartache, Hate Me Too, My Name, Panic, Crazy and to end the set on a high note Thru It All.

The Canadian rock band Three Days Grace from Toronto, Ontario packed a nostalgic punch last night playing crowd favorites and reminding them it's been a long hard-fought road to get to where they're at now. Formed in 1997 by Adam Gontier, Neil Sanderson, Brad Walst, and Mike Amadio. Current lead singer Matt Walst joined the band in 2013. 'Three Days Grace' refers to the time when the boys all met at a Christian summer camp. The band has won numerous awards, including four Juno Awards and two American Music Awards. Their set was a nostalgic one. It was about rock, love, community, and supporting one another. More than their music, their messages to the crowd they hit me that night. As someone who has had struggles with mental health, it can be quite the hell to deal with. "No matter what obstacle is in front of you, you've got to keep climbing. Climb that fucking mountain!" Walst said followed up by "Mental health is so fucking important right now. If you know someone going through some fucking shit then reach out!" and with that the band got the crowd to start repeating "Riot!" "Riot!" in cadence with the lead singer and their set came to an end with Three Days Grace 'Riot' off of their 2006 release 'One-X'.

For those of you who haven't been to a Shinedown show. Go. Shinedown puts on one of the best shows out there. Lead singer Brent Smith, in my opinion, is one of the all-time best all-time rock vocalists in history and I do not doubt in my mind he will go down as such. Tuesday's show packed one hell of a rock punch featuring incredible audio and lighting effects, fire, pyro, and more. The woo was high Tuesday night. Brent Smith had everyone look around them, especially to those by their left and by their right. "Look to your left. Now look to your right. Now there's a reason for that you see. You may not know those people but you will now. Shake their hand, hug 'em, we're all together" It was a reminder that through all the shit that happens everyone is human. Appreciate one another. Music is one big community that we're all in. Quite the plethora of music for Shinedown set last night included Diamond Eyes, Bully, If You Only Knew, from 2008's 'The Sound of Madness', Planet Zero, Dead Don't Die, A Symptom of Being Human from 2022's album 'Planet Zero', I'll Follow You, Unity, Enemies, Daylight from 2012s Amaryllis, State of My Head from 2015's 'Threat to Survival', Sound of Madness, Second Chance from 2008s 'The Sound of Madness' album, 45 from 2003's 'Leave a Whisper', Monsters, Get Up, and Devil from 2018s release 'Attention Attention' and an end to the night with 'Cut the Cord' off of 2015's 'Threat to Survival' record.
